Candoco Dance Company Performance took place on 3-4 December at Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea. Candoco Dance Company, the world’s leading contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled performers, has been creating acclaimed and cutting edge work for over twenty five years.

In this new double bill, Candoco presented commissions from two of the most exciting artistic talents working in the UK today; Alexander Whitley’s Beheld, a resonant and emotive piece with powerful duets and breath-taking ensemble dancing with huge swathes of fabric and Let's Talk About Dis by Hetain Patel, a playful interrogation of identity that probes the audience to think beyond surface appearances.

I was shocked and deeply touched by the company’s bold words and movements.

It was Candoco Dance Company’s second visit to Korea since its first tour in 2006. Marianne Mogendorff, a Programme & Touring Producer told the interview “We are really delighted to be back here and we hope that maybe next year or the year after we will be in Korea to continue our creative collaboration as part of UK/Korea exchange with the British Council.” Jason Mabana, a dancer of Candoco Dance Company also shared his experience in Korea through a video on the company’s official facebook. One audience from Gyeonggi-do said “I was shocked and deeply touched by the company’s bold words and movements” in an interview with us.
