Paul Clementson, Director Korea, addresses the crowd at the British Council Selector music festival in Azerbaijan, where he was previously the British Council’s country director.

Welcome to the British Council in Korea.

For over 40 years the British Council has been supporting peace and prosperity by building connections, understanding and trust between our two countries.

Many know us through our four English centres in and around Seoul, where you and your children can learn English. Or perhaps you need to assess your language skills so that you can study abroad. Over 23,000 people take exams with us in Korea every year – IELTS will give you access to university education in the UK, the United States and more.  If you are interested in studying in the UK, Study UK Discover You is our lively guide to UK education.

We work with Korean partners in many fields, promoting and strengthening connections between academics, artists, and teachers, both face-to-face and online. I hope that you can join us and benefit from our work together.
